ARCHITECT: MARLOW ARCHITECTS
Beach House, Marlow Architects
Marlow Architects gave us this striking design concept to create a visual that responded to both views and light. We wanted to capture the light and reflections of golden hour but also show views from the water at night with the penetration of light deep into the interior.
The house makes the most of its stunning views over Poole harbour by opening the rear of the design up to offer large expanses of glass and access to areas which are otherwise void.
We mixed drone photography and CGI to create moving elements– a cinemagraph, allowing a glimpse of time to be preserved and experienced.
‘When designing living spaces at Marlow we meticulously plan furniture arrangements from a very early stage. This ensures that the furniture and objects within a building become part of its designed flow, rather than after thoughts. This results in highly considered, beautiful and functional spaces. We also love to play with height and volume as shown here within our beach house project.’
